Owners

Ecology Landscape Company is a full service landscape company started in 1996. It is owned by Tomas Torres and Tamara Smith, a husband and wife team.

Tomas is a Certified Nursery Professional and had 12 years of experience in the nursery and landscaping industry prior to starting Ecology Landscape Company. Tomas personally supervises all construction projects.

Tamara is also a Certified Nursery Professional and received a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. Prior to starting Ecology Landscape Company, Tamara worked as a project manager for a large commercial contractor, managing projects for Cal Trans, Kaiser Permanente and UC Berkeley with contract values up to one million dollars. Tamara is responsible for design and estimating.

We hold a California State Contractor's License #725831.

We are California Certified Nursery Professionals #2806 & #3170.

Professional Organizations

We are members of the California Landscape Contractors Association.

We are members of the Better Business Bureau.

Insurance

We carry both Worker's Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance. A Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.

Service Area

We serve Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, east of the Oakland / Berkeley Hills.
