In the Design / Build process, we serve as both the designer and the installer. This means that you only have one company
to deal with throughout, streamlining the whole process.
If you already have a plan, we can still provide an estimate for the construction phase of the project. It is important
to note that the more detailed the plans are, the more acurate the bid can be. We can also help you to make changes to your
plans, if required.
Step 1: Determine Your Budget for the Project
It is very important to know how much you want to spend on your project. We can design a landscape for nearly any budget.
A basic flat landscape with lawn, planting and irrigation can be as little as $3 - $4 per square foot. A landscape with lots
of paving and grading will cost a minimum of $7 per square foot, and probably much more. Our minimum job is $2,500. Projects
can be phased to make them more affordable.
Step 2: Select Elements & Materials
If you were unable to determine your budget, we can help you by providing you with a budget worksheet based on the size of
the property and the elements and materials you select. See the Index of Services page to help with the selections. We will
incorporate your feedback from the worksheet in a revised budget proposal.
Step 3: Sign The Contract
A contract will be provided based on the revised budget proposal. A $500 design deposit is due upon the signing of the contract
unless plans have been provided by you. This deposit will be deducted from the final construction billing.
Step 4: Review Landscape Plan
A meeting with the designer will be scheduled with you to review the plans so that you may provide feedback. That feedback
will be incorporated and the plans will be revised, if required.
Step 5: Begin Construction
It usually takes a minimum of four weeks from the initial meeting to schedule construction work. It takes longer to schedule
work in Spring and early Summer, less in Late Fall and Winter.
A construction deposit of 10%, or a maximum of $1,000, is due upon commencement of construction. Weekly progress payments
may be required, based upon the percentage of completion. The final payment is due upon completion of the work.
We only have one crew and personally supervise the work. We work on one job at a time, so that we may complete your job
in a timely manner. We will work with you to make the construction process an enjoyable and worry free experience for you
and your family.
